The Pilot's Announcement

The pilot initially scares the passengers by saying they're going to die, but then he calms them down by talking about how everyone dies one day. He then hits them with the real bad news, that they're likely to die when the plane crashes into a mountain. It's funny because of the abrupt shift from existential dread to immediate peril.

• A pilot is having a talk with one of his passengers. The passenger asks, "Why did you become a pilot?" The pilot replies with, "To face my fears." The passenger then says, "You're afraid of heights?" "No, I'm afraid of dying alone."
• The terrorists said over the intercom, "We're coming up to our destination, so we can't go over it, we can't go under, we have to go through it."
• Wanna hear some famous last words? "We are just experiencing some turbulence."
