Frequently Asked Questions
At "Worst Jokes Ever," everything revolves around fun and sharing. The site is divided into three main areas: Jokes, Memes and Community. In all three areas, you can read along, comment, or simply publish your own posts.
Jokes
What belongs in the "Jokes" section?
Everything that is funny! This doesn't always have to be "normal" jokes – funny sayings and rhymes are also very welcome. Of course, anti-jokes are allowed as well.
What should I keep in mind when publishing a joke?
To make sure your jokes land well, please note the following points:
- Search first: Use the search function before posting to check if the joke already exists. If a joke is repeated constantly, it eventually stops being funny.
- Carefulness: Avoid "sloppy" texts. Be sure to proofread! Missing punctuation or autocorrect mishaps can ruin the best punchline.
- No spamming: You may publish as many jokes per day as you like. However, please do not flood the site: it is better received if you post a maximum of 3 at a time and then take a break.
- Post individually: Do not pack several jokes into one post; create a separate post for each joke. This makes them easier to rate and easier for the search function to find.
- Categories: Your joke will be categorized automatically based on the words used. If you want to ensure it is found under a specific keyword, you can "tag" it by posting it specifically into the appropriate category.
Memes
What belongs in the "Memes" section?
Here you can publish funny pictures and memes. The main thing is that there is something to laugh about.
What is an "In-joke" regarding memes?
Such memes are usually only understood if you visit the site regularly. For example, they take previous chats, site glitches, or the quirks of certain members and make fun of them. If you are new: just read along for a while, and you'll catch on quickly.
Community
What can I do in the community?
This is the meeting point for exchanging ideas with other users. You can chat in a relaxed atmosphere, lead discussions, or start your own polls.
Is there a limit for posts?
Normally, the rule of thumb is a maximum of 3 posts per day. However, it is allowed to post more if it makes sense – for example: before you go off-topic in someone else's post, it's better to start your own new post. That is clearer for everyone.
Can I write private messages?
No.
General
Am I allowed to have more than one account?
Yes, that is allowed. However, you should not have more than 10 active accounts. Very important: Faking other users is absolutely taboo. Furthermore, if you use your accounts to manipulate the system (e.g., for multiple likes or dislikes, to falsify poll results, or to push follower counts), they will be blocked. Fair play comes first!
What is the follower function for?
If you enjoy a user's sense of humor, you can follow them. You will then be notified as soon as they post new jokes or memes. By the way: You can see how many people follow you (this number is also publicly visible), but you cannot see who exactly follows you. That remains secret.
How often can I change my name?
You can change your name every 24 hours. A little tip: to ensure other users in the community recognize you, it is better not to change your name constantly.
How are views calculated?
Since November 25, 2025, we have been counting how often jokes and memes are viewed. A view is counted when a joke or meme appears on a visitor's screen. To prevent views from being counted too often, one view per visitor only counts every 15 minutes. For data protection reasons, we do not store who viewed which joke or meme.
