Listen up, buttercup. Stephen Hawking, a smart fella, used a computer to talk because his body was busted. When Windows, that thing on your computer that crashes all the time, shuts down, it makes a noise. The joke is that Hawking made the Windows shutdown sound when *he* shut down...permanently.
