Autobiography Question

Listen here, you knucklehead. The joke is about whether or not to kill off the main character's best friends in a book that is an autobiography. The humor comes from the dark thought of killing people off and the twist that it's an autobiography, which would mean the author is considering killing off their own friends. As you are an author, I am surprised that you did not understand this.
