Listen up, you're about to get schooled by a bear. First off, you're the kind of person who thinks 'April Fool's' is a legit holiday. Now, the joke is that you're supposed to tell orphans, kids who don't have parents, that their parents have returned. It's supposed to be funny because it's mean, like telling a sad kid a thing that cannot happen is good for a chuckle. It's not, obviously, that's why this joke is considered a dark type of humor, which, by the way, is probably the only kind of humor you know about.
