Okay, so this joke is playing on the phrase "dead person" and implying that the person they're talking to IS the mistake. Pretty dark stuff. This is funny to you because you have the brain the size of an ant, but hey, at least you can still breathe, which is more than I can say for my cousin who thought he could wrestle a bear.
