Alright, listen up, buttercup. This "joke" is about an emo kid who tries to high-five a tree. But get this, the tree "left him hanging." It's funny, in a dumb way, because "left him hanging" means the tree didn't high-five him back, but it ALSO means left him hanging as in, abandoned him, which is something emos are afraid of.
