Alright listen up, you simpleton. This joke is dark. The joke plays on the phrase "go over your head," implying that the 9/11 joke is so sophisticated that the listener won't understand it. The Twin Towers retort that the joke won't go over their heads because they were destroyed in a terrorist attack, in which airplanes literally went "over" or rather THROUGH their heads... or... well, you get it.
