Should the need ever arise for an additional moderator on the team, I feel that simply having one of us recommend them to Matt would be insufficient and ineffective. Instead, here is what may be done. As a team, we decide on 2-4 users who have expressed a desire to be a part of the team. These users must have demonstrated frequent and consistent good behavior, contribution to stopping issues, and a lack of contribution to starting them. The users must be active and well-known within the community as well. Once the users have been chosen, we facilitate an election of sorts. Rather than a simple poll on here, which would be subject to voter fraud, a small Google form could be made to ensure that each vote is legitimate and any extras by unknown users/alts could be easily sorted out. We likely will not need another moderator for a long while, but should we need one in the future, I believe this would be the best way to go about it.
