btw Ultraman is one of the most influential Tokusatsu characters of all time aside from Godzilla, but Godzilla only gets the award bc he started Tokusatsu. Also, Ultraman was created by Eiji Tsuburaya who was the one who invented the idea of a putting a man in a monster costume when he was put in charge of special effects for the 1954 film "Godzilla'

Ultraman revolutionized Tokusatsu. Power Rangers (Known as Super Sentai in japan), and pretty much anything involving a giant fighting a monster or other enemy

and the Henshin Hero genre (Superheros that have to transform into a superhero instead of being one all the time)

Oh and giant mechs probably wouldnt have been a thing or at least would have taken longer to become popular w/o Ultraman

Ultraseven has these thingies called Capsule Kaiju. They look like little pills, and he throws them and they become big monsters

he uses them to fight enemies but so far I dont think any of them have ever won a fight

bc then there would be no reason for Dan Moriboshi to transform into Ultraseven n then the episode would be boring
