Taking the Box Home

The humor comes from the misunderstanding. The person offering to take the woman "home" actually meant her physical home, but the woman living on the street interprets it as taking her box home.

• I asked a pretty, young homeless woman if I could take her home. She smiled at me and said yes. The look on her face soon changed, however, when I walked away with her cardboard box.
• I asked the homeless woman if I could take her home. She said yes, so I took it.
• I saw a beautiful homeless girl and asked if I could take her out on a date. She politely accepted and enjoyed herself. Soon after, I asked if I could take her home, she smiled and nodded her head. Her smile disappeared when she saw me running away with her cardboard box.
• So the other day I saw a homeless man. He tried to mug me. I let him. I had nothing on me either. (I'm on the next block over.)
