Listen up, buttercup! This joke is funny 'cause it uses the word "Privates" in two different ways. A Drill Sergeant is a mean dude in the Army, and "privates" are the lowest-ranked soldiers. But, uh, "privates" is also a slang word for a dude's junk. So the joke is that the Drill Sergeant was playing with his, um, soldiers. Get it?
