Palestine was not a country. It was just a name for the overall region. Just like the Sinai in Egypt is not a country but just a region.
Palestinian was not a nationality, identity or ethnicity. They were simply Arabs that happened to live in the region called Palestine.
Jews bought all the land they got. They didn't steal land from Arabs. There wasn't anyone to really steal the land from cause the total population of that area + Jordan was less than 1 million.
Tensions were brewing between Jews and Arabs cause the Arabs didn't like so many Jews coming to buy land and build a home.
The British asked the UN to resolve the tensions, the UN decided the land, that was owned by the British, should be divided into an Arab state and a Jewish state.
The Jews liked this decision. The Arabs rejected the idea.
Israel declares itself an independent country. The next day the Arab league attacks it. Israel wins the war. As
compensation, Egypt gives them Gaza(and Sinai but that is given back) and Jordan gives them West Bank.
That means Gaza and West Bank are Israeli territory. Not some non-existing Palestine country whose land they stole. It was given to them by Egypt and Jordan.
This means the people in Gaza and West Bank are not "Palestinians" but Egyptian Arabs and Jordanian Arabs that now have become Israeli citizens and thus Israeli
Arabs.
Israel makes it very clear that every time the Arab league attacks them, they will lose more land.

Since the Arabs never accepted the borders drawn by the UN resolution, Israel decides it is also not beholden by a deal that the other party doesn't even accept.
