The image shows a slide with the title "Dinka Scar Patterns". There are three headshots of Dinka men on the left side, all with scarification on their face, and a close-up headshot of another man on the right with similar markings. The text reads: "Initiation marks a young man's passage from boyhood to adulthood. Initiation means he no longer does a boy's work of milking, tethering the cattle, and corting dung. Initiation is marked by mutilation - tribal marks of several parallel lines or V-shaped marks - are scarified onto the youth's forehead."
