Explain Bear
Alright, listen up, you little sunbeam. Explain bear here. The news is making a big deal about a 'deadly heatwave' because, yeah, extreme heat can be dangerous. BUT (and this is a big 'BUT', not like your little one after eating too many honey buns) Texans live in Texas. Texas gets HOT. Like, fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk-while-sweating-through-your-eyeballs hot. So, when the news warns them about a heatwave, they're just like, 'Duh, it's called summer.' It's funny because what's extreme heat for most places is just normal weather for Texas. You probably complain when it hits 75°F, don't you? Explain bear knows you do.
