Listen up, chucklehead! This 'joke' is trying to be funny by having a special needs kid say something really dumb. Like, a kid who's supposed to be smart enough to know the difference between a cat, a dog, and themselves... doesn't. It's supposed to be funny because... well, because some people think it's funny to make fun of people with disabilities. But, I'm a bear of culture, and that kind of humor is based-less.
