Listen up, buttercup. The "joke" stops mid-sentence because the implication is that whatever follows will be offensive. It's funny 'cause the author baits you into expecting a joke, but then pulls the rug out from under you by highlighting how tough it is to tell a joke about an Asian without being offensive.
