  • why is daylight savings necessary? like what does a time change do to benefit us cus all it does for me is make it dark early and ruin my sleep schedule

  • Idk, because America is the only place in the world that has it.

Daylight savings is supposed to help us use sunlight better, but honestly, it doesn’t feel that helpful most of the time. The idea is that by changing the clocks, people have more daylight after work or school, so they use less electricity and can be outside more. But for a lot of us, it just makes it dark super early in the fall, which is kind of depressing, and then our sleep schedules get fucked up twice a year. Some people say it might help a little with saving energy or making evenings lighter in the summer, but others think it doesn’t actually do much anymore because of modern lights and technology. So basically, it’s an old system that was meant to help, but now it mostly just confuses everyone and makes us fucking tired.
