    bro im writing a book and ive been struck on the same chapter for months and its pissing me off

    its abt a clock that appeared in a town and every hour it starts to bleed and someone in the town dies and the main character can hear the clock whisper the persons darkest secret

    it sounds kinda dumb but its better when written lmao

    the main character arrived in town, saw the clock, an elderly lady died and the main character found out shed killed her son, shes trying to get away from the clock but cant because its connected to the watch her father had given her before he passed

    it doesnt help that its rlly hard to explain lmao

    The main character tries to leave town by bus. She makes it all the way to the station, clutching her father’s watch, exhausted and half convinced she imagined the whispers. But every clock she passes is wrong. The station clock runs backward. A microwave in a diner nearby flashes the exact time of the next death. Her father’s watch starts ticking louder than normal, so loud she can hear it over conversations. Then, right before the hour strikes, everyone in the station freezes for a split second except her. She hears the whisper. “HE BURIED HER UNDER THE BRIDGE.” She doesn’t know who “he” is. The clock tower bells ring. Somewhere outside, a man screams. But this time, instead of learning the secret after the death, she heard it before.
