I remember when I first died. I have no idea how this dream became a reality. Is it a reality?

I was running from something... Something evil, but from what? It was hard to remember. Struggling, I kept running. Soon the hall came to an end. Quickly, I ran into a room, diving under a hospital bed. As I closed my eyes, I wondered “is this real? Is this it?” I hear the door open; I know it's here. Eyes still closed, I feel its cold hands grab me. I open my eyes to see rows and rows of teeth, then nothing. “Is this it?” I ask myself. “Do people really die in their nightmares?”

Chapter one I was driving to the hospital. I'd only be asleep for a year, right? “It'd be too late to back out now” I Thought to myself, so I just kept driving. Soon the sky fell dark. Not too much longer, I arrived at St. Nick’s hospital. “It's definitely too late to back out now” I had thought to myself. I went inside, headed by Dr. Foreman's office. “Jackie!” I heard from behind me as I turned around. “Come into my office, let me further explain this experiment.” I walked into the office. ”What more is there to explain?” I asked. “Well, you'll be placed into this coffin-like machine for a year. This machine releases gases that keep you asleep for that time. These tubes right here will provide you with food and water, The gasses will keep you in R.E.M sleep. We will be monitoring your dreams and nightmares to dive more into the psychology of the brain,” He said. “Well- I guess let's get this started then. “ I lied into the coffin-like machine before he attached tubes to me, closing the lid after as everything fell dark. I woke up in my bed to a girl in a bloody hospital gown holding a knife. I quickly jumped up, flipping my light on, the girl disappearing. I sat on the edge of my bed, taking deep breaths to calm myself down. I stood up and wandered into my fathers room. “Dad..?” I asked hopelessly, only hearing an alarm in the long distance. I didn't see my father.. I heard a loud knocking, making me jump. I felt a slight panic as I headed to the door. “Jackie,” - I was relieved when I saw my aunt - “Would you give Mal a ride to school?? I'm already late for work,” She asked. I nodded my head. Mal wandered into the house, sitting on the living room couch. I calmed down from the panic as i went into my room, pulling out my laptop. It shut down. “Mal?” I asked as I left my room. “Mal, can I borrow your computer for work?” I asked. I looked around, seeing her nowhere. The lights had flickered as I turned off the TV, but suddenly the Tv turned back on. I was filled with fear and worry as I read the words on the screen. “SHes In The BaSEMent” I froze in panic, just staring. A second later, I ran to the basement and down the stairs. I froze as I saw Mal tied to a black cahir, Blood falling from her head and nose as she sat there knocked out. “Mal!!” I yelled, running to her. I feel a cut form along my entire arm, with a knife falling on the ground. I pick the knife up, getting closer to Mal. Suddenly, a strong force throws me into the wall, holding me there for a second. I saw nothing and heard a loud ringing in my ears. I felt my vision blurry, red hand prints on my arms. With the room falling darker, I grabbed the knife. I ran to Mal, cutting the rope. A tall figure covered in cuts lifted her head, smiling. The eyes of both Mal and the creature were gouged out, bleeding black blood with their mouths sewn together. The figure’s mouth was torn and bloody. I fell on my knees next to Mal, resting my head onto her lap, crying. “I'm sorry Mal, I should’ve been there for you... I should've been able to save you...” I wail out. I stood up, wiping my tears, falling back over and continuing to fall. It all felt too real.. I stopped falling and felt a light breeze. I was sitting down and I opened my eyes. Looking around, I saw the inside of a school bus. There were a few other people, one that looked like Mal. I reached my hand out, then the wall of the bus next to me disappeared as I felt a huge gust of wind. The world looked blurry and warped. Everything twisting into itself and each other. I looked down, seeing a huge, deep ditch. Everything seemed to have frozen except the bus. The bus took a sharp turn, and I flew out the side. Tentacles grabbed me midair, dragging me into the darkness. It held me right above a black hole, each tentacle letting me go one by one, until I finally fell into the abyss.
