A kid walks in late to class. The teacher asks him, "Why are you late?" and he replies, "I was busy throwing pebbles in the lake." Another kid walks in late to class, and the teacher asks him, "Why are you late?" and he replies, "I was busy throwing pebbles in the lake." The last kid walks in and the teacher says, "Why are you late?...and why are you wet?" and the kid says back, "Remember, my name is Pebbles!!"

Okay, listen up, you knucklehead. You clearly don't get it, so let me break it down for your walnut brain. First, you think kids are just these innocent little angels? Wrong! They're little demons who will do anything to mess with ya. Second, repetition is funny sometimes. The same thing happens twice, and then BAM the third time it’s a twist! The kid says his name is Pebbles because that is what he was throwing in the lake and that's why he's wet. The teacher's a dummy for not catching that. Now, go back to playing with your blocks.
Person
I've heard it the same way up until the end. After the second kid sits down, a boy dripping wet walks into class. The teacher looks up and says, "Thank you for joining us Pebbles." It's just as good as your ending but I just wanted to give another suggestion.
