I have Asperger's and I thought this was funny. Most people with Asperger's and Autism don't understand humor very well. But, I am an Aspie with a good sense of humor. I understand jokes better than most people, even better than most people who are not Autistic. Humor makes it easier to deal with Asperger's. I love Autism jokes.

I’m autistic. This is hurtful.

Autism is a spectrum. I have poor social skills and take a while to figure out jokes. I stutter, and make repetitive movements.

However, I got to public school, and manage to get good (above average) grades.

Others may struggle with verbalizing, obsessions, and some, although few, do have decreased mental function.

It’s jokes like these that make people think all people with autism are stupid and retarded. I’ve been bullied. Hated on. After I’ve told people I’m autistic/reveal my true personality. Before, I learned to mask and push all those feelings deep inside me to avoid these issues.

People say I’m stupid and should die. I can understand what they’re saying. I also take words too literally, and when people say these things, I’ve literally attempted to end my life. I hate myself, self harming when I make a mistake.

Life with autism is in no way easy. But we, or at least I, can understand very clearly what this means. I’m not stupid, despite what I and others tell me.

Sorry, I know this probably doesn’t make sense. Just my 2 cents.

"Anonymous" I too am autistic and have tried to end my life before, we are more prone to depression than neurotypicals, but quite frankly I don't care what you have to say, this is funny. Now I have a better understanding about myself, I am a bit retarded, but am also a genius and I am more than willing to call myself retarded 10,000 if that means people like Lucia will shut up. We autistics who find this funny outnumber you guys in the chat. You know, some people with autism find dark hummer repulsive but I am pretty sure there is more of us who love it, and I don't care how offensive you think it is, stop trying to get in the way of people like me who are looking for a good laugh.
