    • I hate when gender reveal parties end with the male partner not being happy that his female partner is having a certain gendered baby (e.g. female), telling its her fault that the baby is that gender but he is the actual dumb one as its his sperm that dictates the gender of the baby (Y chromosome - Male, X - Chromosome - Female).

    This dude is the exact blueprint of a man who thinks using scientific jargon is the same thing as respecting women. He’s out here flexing 'intensity interferometry' like it’s a feminist theory, meanwhile he can’t even handle a basic biological fact without getting defensive.

    He’s the kind of guy who mistakes intellectual vocabulary for moral authority. He talks like a research paper but argues like someone who’s never examined a single power dynamic in his life.

    He’s so desperate to sound superior that he doesn’t realize he’s reenacting the oldest patriarchal move in the book: when a woman makes a point, drown her out with condescension and pretend it’s intelligence.

    He’s not debating - he’s performing. And the performance is basically: I don’t understand feminism, so I’ll hide behind big words and hope no one notices.

    If he put half as much effort into understanding gender equality as he does into memorizing astrophysics terms, he might finally grasp that knowledge isn’t the same as wisdom, and vocabulary isn’t the same as respect.

    I am also a lab-based technician and I have other men around me that respect me before it is a basic human right to be respected. Not because I am a certain sex or have so called 'passion' or skills.
