TW: ||Rape, Sexual Assault, and Child Sexual Abuse.||
These figures describe the scale of sexual violence. They are estimates, not predictions about any individual.
# WOMAN --- RAPE
- CDC's national survey data from 2016/2017 estimated that about **1 in 5 U.S. women** had experienced completed or attempted rape in their lifetime.
- Approximately **1 in 5 women** also reported sexual coercion in their lifetime in the newer 2023/2024 CDC data brief.
# MEN — RAPE
- CDC's 2016/2017 national survey estimated that **more than 1 in 38 U.S. men** had experienced completed or attempted rape in their lifetime.
- CDC separately measures being made to penetrate another person without consent. This is an important form of sexual violence against men and should not be left out of awareness discussions.
# CHILDREN — RAPE & SA
- CDC data indicate that about **1 in 13 U.S. women** reported experiencing rape before age 18.
- Child sexual abuse can affect children of every gender.
- A commonly cited RAINN estimate is that **1 in 4 girls and 1 in 13 boys** experience child sexual abuse before age 18.
# IMPORTANT CONTEXT
- Adult lifetime estimates may include abuse that occurred during childhood.
- Child sexual abuse is broader than rape; the terms are not interchangeable.
- Rape, sexual assault, sexual coercion, unwanted sexual contact, and non-contact sexual harassment are different measures.
- These statistics do not represent every survivor. Sexual violence is underreported, and no statistic can tell you whether an individual person's experience is real.
TW: ||This post discusses sexual violence statistics.||

- The newer survey also measures verbal sexual harassment and technology-facilitated sexual violence.

- Being made to penetrate another person is an important category of male victimization measured by the CDC.
# CHILDREN & TEENS

@uk
ᥫ᭡
So, obviouly in the server all the channels were re done
ᥫ᭡
with anna helping us, i dont think we will be doing news. It fwwla like adding more and more yk?
ᥫ᭡
instead of a community place to learn
ᥫ᭡
but if theres like IMPORTANT news like RAINN's stats chang4e
ᥫ᭡
or if like someone is helping us advaocatoe, or advacating themselves and getting attetion
ᥫ᭡
maybe less or stories tho, so we dont exploit anyone (unlikely but possible) and so its less convtoversal
ᥫ᭡
So, with ALOT less news, i wanna ask if you wanna switch your job?
ᥫ᭡
Me and sara are horrible with one thing, and defo would like help with that. (in my opion)
UK
I guess, since news will be pretty much useless unless it's important
ᥫ᭡
you can still keep it, but have a more important one
UK
But who would take care of the important news?
ᥫ᭡
**
ᥫ᭡
ou can have more than one job UK
UK
Okay
ᥫ᭡
Okay
ᥫ᭡
So the one i knoew i atleast need help with is the postiicty
ᥫ᭡
postiity
ᥫ᭡
positiciy
ᥫ᭡
OMFG
ᥫ᭡

ᥫ᭡
posativity
ᥫ᭡
i give up.
αηΩηγм
potivisibility
UK
Okay I could help with Positivity
ᥫ᭡
but, sara and I were supposed to do a roation of 3 people, but we never got the 3rd person
ᥫ᭡
And every day someone posts js uh
ᥫ᭡
idk if i have the outline, but its short.
UK
Mm
ᥫ᭡
Like 3 sentance or more of a like small paragraph just like "Motivation" / "pep" speech
ᥫ᭡
and then 1-5 good things/good news of you, the server, family, whatever
ᥫ᭡
Then, open a thread so people can share good news
ᥫ᭡
And just before anyone writes just write on the thread and pin "Postiity only
ᥫ᭡
but yk spelled right
UK
Okay
ᥫ᭡
ik sara wants to do it too, weve js been busy
ᥫ᭡
but hopefully seince i turned in the jake shit, and im caught up with school, artly ahead
ᥫ᭡
and not like in severe depression anymore, itll be bette5r
UK
That's really good
ᥫ᭡
I might leave rotation, im not sure. I know i want to do it, but idk if i wanna be in the roation
ᥫ᭡
OH i missed something
ᥫ᭡
If someone wants to do one, they CAN DM you, or sara, or I
ᥫ᭡
And they will just be like, or in the channels be like
ᥫ᭡
"can you add this" or "this motivainl" \
ᥫ᭡
like share there own speech one day
UK
Alrighty
ᥫ᭡
and if you want, and its approipte, with TW if needed
ᥫ᭡
you can add that, or give someone else or whatveer
ᥫ᭡
so its not hard, its js daily
ᥫ᭡
What time is it for you?
UK
5pm
ᥫ᭡
okay
ᥫ᭡
Now would be a good time for that then, like do dailt at 12 pm(my time)
ᥫ᭡
do you wanna do one today?
UK
Okay
ᥫ᭡
or do you wanna wait and start tmrw
UK
Wait
UK
I got no school tomorrow
ᥫ᭡
okay
UK
It's teacher training day or smth
ᥫ᭡
tf
ᥫ᭡
cute.
ᥫ᭡
ik, i did it, it takes like 5 mins
ᥫ᭡
5-10
ᥫ᭡
i think sara is busy rn but ill tell her
UK
Ah
UK
Oki
ᥫ᭡
And i wanna get more mebers now that i added the info
ᥫ᭡
also can u look over the info in the channels
ᥫ᭡
and in the staff js tell them i put it
UK
Do you know where to find them?
UK
Okay
ᥫ᭡
I know ill post on tt, we act got some from there
ᥫ᭡
But yk, with everything that happend i stopped posting
ᥫ᭡
So i can do that again,
ᥫ᭡
Anna was looking for uh
ᥫ᭡
She asked me to look for a partnership
ᥫ᭡
but never gave me the outline
ᥫ᭡
So i can, and sara can talk in the servers were in
ᥫ᭡
its in our bio
UK
What, like, something along the lines of "@user (you) put the information in"?
ᥫ᭡
I can post on snap aswell
Vulnerable Munia
?
ᥫ᭡
in the staff channel js add that i added it but cant be on dc rn
UK
Bro I didn't wanna tag anyone
ᥫ᭡
then js read the info in the info channels to see if its all there
ᥫ᭡
its fine it dosent work
ᥫ᭡
look
