Language of Thought in Deaf Individuals

Haha. I mean, how could we ever know?

They don't think sign language.

So I was planning a date with this girl but she said her disabled friend in a wheelchair had to come I said sorry no I hate the third wheeler

They still know English because sign language translates to English.

But like, if they’re born deaf how do they know how the words are pronounced? Maybe they visualize the words like how it would be written on paper or something, idk

I interact with deaf people quite often, my family volunteers at something called 'Puddle Jumpers (Adelaide)" and my Mum and I do the food hub, and we have deaf people come into the hub with a pen and paper. I only know American sign language, and I m trying to learn Auslan.

They just talk with us on the pen and paper*

They speak language of MOTHERLAND! Long live Russia, Stalin, and Putin.

THEY ARE GODS

How would someone think, who never learned any language, someone who lived in isolation for years and then sees other people for the first time?

I think someone like this would mostly or maybe only think in pictures (or about sounds, maybe feelings). He maybe doesn’t think „thats a tree“, he just thinks „🌳“.

Yeah, maybe someone who is deaf imagines hands doing sign language?
