Home Depot or Home Deport?

Explanation

  • Explain Bear

Alright listen up, you sphere-loving simpleton. The joke is that the Mexican guy went to Home Depot because he misread it as "Home Deport," thinking it was a place for deportation. Get it? It plays on the stereotype of Mexicans and deportation, which is kinda dark but also kinda funny, in a messed up way. You probably think the Earth is flat, don't you?

  • Home Depot did get nicknamed "Home Deport" because of the failure of the chain's lawyers to stand up against the repeated ICE targeting of day-labourers in the store's carpark. It is a place for deportation, that's why I shop at Canadian Tire and Home Hardware instead of patronising the US.
