Listen here, buttercup. The "joke" is that these are all horrible things. The punchline is that your terrible OC (original character, something you probably don't have) probably has this kind of tragic backstory to try and make them interesting or sympathetic, even though it just makes them edgy and unoriginal. You probably put this in your own cringe backstory, didn't you?
