There used to be no community section. The community section was added much later and it largely came about because some people on the German site, including me, used to make chat posts in the jokes section and that annoyed a lot of people, etc.

The site was actually just made for jokes, later came the community section and then the meme section because it was suggested on the German site and many people there wanted it.
