A man lives on the tenth floor of a building. Everyday, he goes on the elevator and goes down to the lobby and out the door to work. At the end of the day, he goes back to lobby, and goes up to the 7th floor, then walks the extra 3 floors, unless its raining, then he goes up to the 10th floor. Why does he do this?

The man is too short to reach the number 10 button. Maybe bc The elevator only runs to the 7th floor? The riddle did not state that he takes the elevator from the 10th floor in the morning, just that he takes the elevator to the ground floor. He walks to the 7th floor each morning to take the elevator to the ground floor also. Or, The man does it because he needs to go to work to get money and then go shopping to get food to eat. Idk, lol.
