1944, October 7: An uprising happens in Birkenau, destroying machines that murdered many Jews. 1948, May 14, the UN declares that the Mandatory State of Palestine is replaced by Eretz Yisrael, or, the Land of Israel. On that day, all the surrounding countries launched a ruthless attack, and spawned a wave of minor terror acts. The terror acts grew after the 6-day war in 1967. 1973, October 7: Yom Kippur; On this date, the countries surrounding Israel launched a horrible attack against Israel 1985, October 7: Radical terrorists from the Palestine Liberation Front hijack a cruise ship, and kill a disabled Jewish man in a wheel chair. 2001, October 7: Beginning of Us invasion of Afghanistan following Al Qaeda attack on September 11

2023, October 7: An attack by the Palestinian terrorist organization, Hamas, murders over 1,200 innocent people, and raped some who were slain and many more. They kidnapped over 250 innocent men, women, and children. Some of the hostages were survivors of the Holocaust. The reaction to this event from the world is shameful to us all as the human race.

Following this event, hundreds of Israeli soldiers have killed, with a death toll, including terrorists, and innocents, of 40,000 Palestinians. Of course, this is a horrible number, and even with the IDF estimate of 66% of terrorist deaths, it is still an evil number, looming over this evil war. Across the world, protests broke out, demonizing the country of my people. In Columbia, people who identified as Zionists had to hire private guards to escort them across campus. In other campuses, Zionists who believed that Israel can be shared along the Palestinians, were slandered and shouted at, while being denied access to the school that they paid for, which was closed due to the "encampments."

There are four fronts to this war: the Northern front with Lebanon's state sponsored terrorist group, Hezbollah; The south with Hamas; The East with Iran; and the world. Why must the world push down on a refugee state who does not want to be in this hellish situation?

I cry for the people we have lost. Both the Jews and the innocent Palestinians. Some people here may believe that I as a Zionist do not empathize the Palestinian people. That assumption is incorrect. But I do believe that they are the victims of Hamas. Those poor children who are being taught to hate, only to die for a fat man in the United Arab Emirates to gain money. Those poor women who have lost their sons who the leaders of Hamas simply only call them martyrs. Yes, they are martyrs, but martyrs of the dangerous and evil Islamist politics.

I raise a metaphorical candle as a symbol to remember those that we have lost. I have the word "Yizkor" in my bio to commemorate those we have lost. I ask that everyone here to please add this to your bio, not as to support Israel, but to remember all the deaths in the war, whether they are Palestinian or Israeli. Whether they are IDF soldiers or children. הלב שלי שבוי בעזה My heart is held captive in Gaza.

You had me lost at 1944

some of my family members are currently in the IDF. One of my family members was on leave from a base that was horribly attacked on oct 7th

And I would like to add that the terrorist proxies are almost gone. It will take months for Israel to rebuild, and potentially years to help the Gazans recover the lives taken indirectly by Hamas.
