Alright listen up, buttercup. The joke here is a dark one. See, an "emo" is someone who's all sad and mopey, right? And "hangman" is what you call someone who hangs people, or the dude you see in them old westerns. So, if an emo, who's already down in the dumps, hangs himself, he becomes the "hangman" in a very literal and dark way. It's funny because it's so morbid, which I know you are really into.
